Message from the President

On behalf of the faculty and staff, I welcome you to the Community College of Rhode Island, the largest community college in New England. For more than 40 years, CCRI has been a leader in education and training. Our faculty and staff are committed to ensuring student success—achieved through support services, access to education, and teaching excellence. A CCRI education not only helps students improve their career prospects, but it also makes transfer to some of our country’s finest four-year colleges possible.

During my time at the college, I hope to strengthen CCRI’s presence and visibility by celebrating the successes of our students and alumni, as well as those of our dedicated faculty and staff. I also hope to provide the leadership necessary to support a shared governance system and to improve diversity at the college.

CCRI is embarking on a new period of growth to help strengthen the economic and social fabric of our state. With our four comprehensive campuses and numerous satellites, CCRI stands ready to educate and train the future workforce of our state and region. By continuing to create flexible learning opportunities, to build partnerships, and to provide innovative lifelong learning programs, CCRI will play an instrumental role in local and regional workforce development.
