JAA Days
Learn more about JAA • Meet with RIC & URI Advisors
JAA Days are an opportunity for interested students to learn about the program and for continuing JAA students to meet with advisors. JAA Days take place during the fall and spring semesters on all CCRI campuses.
Students enrolled in JAA are required to receive advising from a CCRI advisor and a URI or RIC advisor each semester. By attending JAA Days, you will fulfill this requirement.
If you missed JAA Days for the 2012 Spring Semester:
Meeting with a RIC or URI advisor every semester while you are a student at CCRI is not only a benefit of JAA but is also a program requirement. Students who do not have an approved advising contact with their JAA advisors each semester are putting their opportunity of transferring through JAA at risk. If you did not meet this requirement by attending one of the recent JAA Days, you still need to have advising from the RIC or URI advisors. Please meet with a CCRI advisor first to discuss your Fall 2012 courses and then contact the RIC or URI JAA advisor for an appointment.
Please bring a copy of your Fall 2012 education plan (the list of courses selected with an advisor), unofficial transcript and degree evaluation to this meeting.
If you plan to attend RIC through the JAA program, the JAA Advisor at RIC, Dolores Passarelli, is available to meet with students there. You may schedule an appointment by contacting Dolores at jaa@ric.edu or 401-456-8083.
If you plan to attend URI through the JAA program, representatives from URI will be at the Knight Campus in the Commons on Monday, April 23 from 9am-3pm. You must schedule an appointment in advance at the Warwick Advising Office (Room 1054) or by calling 401-825-2301. Please identify yourself as a JAA Student when booking the appointment. If you cannot attend, you may schedule an appointment to meet with a JAA Advisor at URI by contacting Jessica Boisclair or Jen Legare at jaa@etal.uri.edu or 401-874-4076 or 401-874-4972 .
If you have decided that you no longer wish to participate in JAA, you must officially withdraw to be removed from our records by:
oFilling out a Change of Status form with a CCRI advisor OR
oSending an email to jaa@ccri.edu and include your full name, CCRI ID number and a reason for withdrawing.
