Professor Rebecca Clark has taught photography at Community College of Rhode Island since 1990. She teaches both digital and film based photography. She received her MFA in photography from Rhode Island School of Design and a BA in Art History from Oberlin College. Professor Clark exhibits her photographs that combine antique alternative photographic processes with digital technology in museums and galleries including the Danforth Museum of Art, the Fitchburg Museum of Art, the Visual Studies Workshop, Williamsburg Art and Historical Society, and the Soho Photo gallery.
While knowledge of digital photography and image editing is essential, she believes the ability to make a unique hand crafted photographic image in the darkroom will continue to be a valuable part of a photographic education.
