OFTD-1120 - Microcomputer Keyboarding
  • Demonstrate keyboarding skills acceptable for business use
  • Demonstrate the proper reach techniques for all alphabetic and number/symbol keys using the touch method
  • Demonstrate proper use of space bar, return keys, tab key and other significant keys associated with keyboard
  • Demonstrate proper keyboarding technique while applying keyboarding skills

OFTD-1130 - Editing Skills for Office Communications I

OFTD-1170 - Office Transcription I
  • Apply the skills of keyboarding, listening, decision making, while simultaneously using the transcribing equipment to produce written communications
  • Apply cognitive skills of spelling, punctuation, grammar, formatting, problem-solving, editing, and proofreading to produce “Mailable Documents”
  • Develop language art skills through the text sections of spelling, grammar,  vocabulary, sentences, listening boosts, in order to transcribe accurate documents
  • Demonstrate the level of expertise in word processing needed to produce accurate business correspondence
OFTD-1180 - Speech Recognition Software I
  • Complete enrollment process to “train” the computer to understand his/her voice
  • Speak clearly, smoothly and deliberately by practicing enunciating words, commands, and punctuation
  • Correct speech errors quickly using a variety of techniques
  • Learn how to train software so that speech errors are corrected permanently
  • Students will learn how to use capitalization features in software

OFTD-1220 - Microsoft Office Applications I

Skill Development:

  • To develop accuracy and speed in keyboarding skill via individualized diagnostic and prescriptive software

Microsoft Office Word 2010:

  • Develop the ability to produce documents that are acceptable at the certification level
  • Use basic editing skills in document preparation

OFTD-1250 - Office Accounting
  • Organize and set up a chart of accounts

OFTD-1280 - Editing Skills for Office Communications II

OFTD-1370 - Business File Management
  • Demonstrate electronic filing, editing, and retrieval of business documents using a Microsoft Office Access and Excel database

  • Perform queries using a Microsoft Office Access and Excel
  • Create Forms and reports using a Microsoft Office Access and Excel
