New math options available for spring

Dec. 22, 2016

Starting spring 2017, CCRI has some new math initiatives designed to help students earn their degree more quickly.

The following pairs of courses may now be taken together in one semester (7.5 weeks in the first class, then 7.5 weeks in the second class):

  • Math 0500/Math 0600 (Fundamentals of Mathematics/Elementary Algebra)
  • Math 0500/Math 1420 (Fundamentals of Mathematics/Introduction to College Mathematics)
  • Math 1420/Math 1430 (Introduction to College Mathematics/Mathematics for Liberal Arts)
  • Math 0600/Math 1200 (Elementary Algebra/College Algebra)

There is also a new developmental math course offered this spring: Fundamental Math 8550. This course is designed for students who need basic arithmetic and algebraic skills to be ready for college-level math courses.

If you haven't completed your math requirement, consider these options. Anyone interested in enrolling or has questions, should contact Advising as soon as possible.
