How to add, approve, edit and delete events, contacts, and locations

(***Administrators only***)

  1. Go to the calendar: https://events.ccri.edu/cal/main/showEventList.rdo

  2. Click on the "Manage Events" link in the left column:

  3. Login using your CCRI username and password:

  4. APPROVING SUBMITTED EVENTS
    1. Click on the "Pending Queue" tab:

    2. Click on an item in the pending queue to see the comments submitted (in the yellow box). Change or add information to the form (below yellow box) if needed, then click "Publish Event":

  5. ADDING CONTACTS
    1. If the contact person requested is not already in the system, an administrator will need to add them.
      1. Go back to "Main Menu" tab and click on "Add Contact":

      2. Fill out "Add Contact" form and click the "Add Contact" button:

  6. EDIT EVENTS 
    1. Add new contact
      1. Edit the above event by adding the contact person you just added to the system.
        1. Go to "Main Menu > Manage Events"

        2. Select the event you need to edit:

        3. Now when you select the drop-down menu under "Contact:" you will see the contact you've added:

        4. Click "Update Event".
  7. ADD A LOCATION
    1. To add a location, follow the same basic procedure as "Add Contact" above, using the "Add Location" interface.
  8. DELETE AN EVENT
    1. To delete an event, do steps VI through VI-ii, then select "Delete Event" button:

  9. CANCEL AN EVENT
    1. If a scheduled event has been canceled, follow "Edit Events" VI through VI-ii, then change "Status" to "Canceled" and click the "Update Event" button:

  10. REOCCURING EVENTS
    1. Events occurring on two or more days and/or times.
      1. Add the first instance of the event
        1. Go to: Main Menu > Add Event:

          ADD EVENT
        2. Fill out all required info on the "Event Information" form and click the "Add Event" button.
      2. Add next occurrence of event
        1. Go to "Main Menu > Manage Events"
        2. Find and open  the first occurrence of event
        3. Click the "Copy Event" button:

          Copy event
        4. On the copy of the event, change date and/or time to the next occurrence of the event:

          reoccur
        5. Click the "Add Event" button.
