About IT

The Department of Information Technology supports the technology needs of the College. The areas of support include; information systems, instructional technology, network, phone system, audio visual, desktops, academic labs, Help Desk, consulting and technology training for students, faculty and staff. Our basic role is to acquire, install, maintain and upgrade hardware, software and network resources utilized by the college community. In addition, our goal is to continually enhance the resources and expertise of the college community in support of their role in maintaining an exceptional learning environment for our students.

Our long term focus is to develop and pursue a strategic plan for technology with broad based input from all college constituencies that will meet the growing and diverse needs of a community college. This future will entail the integration of traditional courses, life long learning and advanced technologies impacting a diverse Rhode Island population. Technology is the vehicle that will enable a multifaceted, sustainable, focused and relevant learning community necessary to deal with a fast paced dynamic environment.
