CollegeBoundfund Payroll Savings Plan

On June 1, 1999, former Governor Lincoln Almond announced that State employees now had the option of participating in a college savings plan (formerly RIHEST) through payroll deduction.  The 529 college savings plans provide tax-advantages to assist employees in saving for future college education costs through payroll deduction contributions.

To learn more about this college savings plan, visit the State of Rhode Island's 529 College Savings Plan web page at, or to request an enrollment kit to participate through payroll deduction, simply visit the CollegeBoundfund website or call the State's CollegeBoundfund Representative, Veronica Turner at 210-384-6233.  Be sure to identify yourself as a Rhode Island State employee.
