In looking at the picture of the supraglenoid tubercle, Amy H. (spring 08) observed that there is another benefit of viewing the scapula from this perspective.  If you hold the glenoid cavity in front of you and if the coracoid process looks like a lower-case "r", it's the right scapula (r for right) - see the first picture on this page.  The supraglenoid tubercle of the scapula is the origin for:
1.    biceps brachii.
