Take the plunge and immerse yourself into professional development opportunities at CCRI.  We offer a variety of learning experiences to reflect on and refresh your teaching craft over a day, a week, a month, or a year.

Effective Practices for Teaching Online

A 4-week online course which investigates how pedagogy and classroom management changes in the online learning environment. Completing the course will meet part of the CCRI eligibility requirements for teaching online. Full-time and part-time faculty are eligible. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Sections are limited to 15 participants. This course is offered twice in Fall and Spring and once during the summer.

ACUE Effective Practices in Teaching

This year-long course prepares you to implement essential practices shown to improve student outcomes by showcasing exemplary teaching on campuses nationwide and featuring interviews with leading experts in college instruction. Each module introduces a specific topic and evidence-based technique to try out immediately and ends with a reflection on that technique.
