Food Manager’s Certification Program
Earn the nationally recognized food safety certification from the National Restaurant Association. In this state approved 18-hour course you will learn about food safety practices, proper food handling techniques, and highlights of the R.I. Food Code. Topics also include waste management, accident prevention and food safety systems. Fee includes the exam but does NOT include the required textbook or the RIDOH application fee
The textbook, "ServSafe Manager with answer sheet", 6th edition revised, National Restaurant Association, must be purchased and brought to the first class. Books are available for purchase at the CCRI Knight Campus bookstore in Warwick or online at www.ccri.edu/bookstore.

Food Manager’s Recertification Program
The Food Manager Certification must be renewed every three years. This six-hour course will satisfy the R.I. Department of Health requirements by providing you with a review of important food sanitation procedures and new requirements. Upon completion of the course, your R.I. Department of Health Certification of Renewal form will be signed.
