It was a tough day for the Lady Knights as they fell in three straight sets against two very good teams from the Northeast District. Though CCRI did not win a set they still fought hard and gave their best effort and left it all on the court.

Leading the way for the Lady Knights was Gabriella Blumenstock (Warwick, RI) with five Kills and six Digs. Sydney Trudeau (Cumberland, RI) also had a good match with three Kills and five Digs. Also playing well was Christa Fitzsimmons (Warwick, RI) with three Kills, and two Digs. Setter Joanna Wong (Cranston, RI) added 12 Assists while orchestrating the Lady Knights’ offense.

After falling to CC Morris things did not get any easier for their Lady Knights as their next match would see them face the Saints of Mercyhurst, the eventual District Champions. Once again CCRI fell in straight sets but the score does not reflect the effort they put forth on the court.

Leading the way for the Lady Knights versus the Saints was Sydney Trudeau with five Kills, an Ace an Assist, a Solo Block and seven Digs. Also having a very good match was Gabriella Blumenstock with four Kills, and 12 Digs. Christa Fitzsimmons added four Kills and nine Digs. Joanna Wong had 15 Assists, two Kills and Dig and a Kill. Yelianni Soto Reyes (Providence, RI) had a Kill and a Solo Block while Mia Shola (North Kingstown, RI) contributed with eight Digs.

Though the season did not end the way the Lady Knights had hoped they still showed their best on the biggest stage and played very hard and together as a team.
