Knights Enter Postseason as No. 1 Seed!

Warwick, R.I. – February 24, 2020: The CCRI Knights men’s basketball team have been given their assignments for the upcoming Region XXI tournament. The Knights enter the postseason as the No. 1 seed and will face the No. 8 seeded Holyoke Community College Cougars on Wednesday, February 26th at 7:00 p.m. at home. This will also serve as the men’s basketball team’s Alumni Nights and is the last scheduled CCRI game in the Vincent A. Cullen Fieldhouse.

The Region XXI seeds are as follows:

1. CCRI – 20-10 Overall & 16-3 Region XXI
2. Gateway CC – 18-4 & 15-4
3. Bunker Hill – 20-9 & 13-6
4. UConn Avery Point – 15-3 & 12-7
5. Quincy CC – 16-7 & 12-7
6. Roxbury CC – 12-15 & 11-8
7. MassBay CC – 11-12 & 11-8
8. Holyoke CC – 12-10 & 10-9
   

Quarterfinals (hosted by higher seed): Wednesday, February 26th:

Game 1: #8 Holyoke at #1 CCRI

Game 2: #7 MassBay at #2 Gateway *location TBA

Game 3: #6 Roxbury at #3 Bunker Hill

Game 4: #5 Quincy at #4 UConn Avery Point

Semifinals (hosted by Massasoit*): Saturday, February 29th:

Game 5: Winner game 1 vs Winner game 4 (higher remaining seed will be home team) - 4pm

Game 6: Winner game 2 vs Winner game 3 (higher remaining seed will be home team) - 6pm

Championship: (hosted by Massasoit*): Sunday, March 1st:

Game 7: Winner game 5 vs Winner game 6 (higher remaining seed will be home team) - 2pm
