Freshman Reece Bullock (Coventry, RI) ripped down 11 rebounds with an additional eight points and one block.
Head Coach Rick Harris commented: “Tonight I felt we played probably our most complete game of the year. Our players maturity and basketball understanding seems to really have kicked in of late. Defensively as a team we held Bunker Hill’s two leading scorers who both average over 20 points per game, to 10 and 14 points respectively. Great chance to win when we play with that kind of focus defensively. All teams have been improving in our Region so we must be sure to bring our ‘A’ game each night. Our pressure game and running game can make teams uncomfortable so hopefully we can keep getting better in those areas. Last night was what we work for, playing our best in playoff type matchups against our Region rivals.”
The CCRI Knights men’s basketball team will next be in action on Saturday, February 8th at 2:00 p.m. as they travel to Holyoke, MA to take on the Holyoke Community College Cougars.
