Warwick, R.I. – April 15, 2019: The CCRI Track & Field team brought two athletes to The Connecticut College 2019 Silfen Invitational on Saturday: Aaron Cedeno (North Providence, RI) and Saramarie Cerullo (Smithfield, RI). Both athletes were able to run season best efforts in their events.

For the Knights Aaron Cedeno placed 36th in the 400m race with a time of 55.42 seconds. Cedeno's effort was not only a season best effort but a career best. For the Lady Knights Saramarie Cerullo ran a season-best time in the 1500m placing 72nd in the time of 6 minutes 1.35 seconds. Cerullo was very close to her career-best and hopes to get that at one of the renaming meets this season.

Head Coach Gregg Cornell commented after the meet: "Always great to see improvement as the season progresses."

The next meet for CCRI will be this Saturday the 20th when they travel to Fitchburg State in Fitchburg, MA to compete in the Eric Loeschner Memorial Invitational beginning at 10am.
