Warwick, R.I. – September 17, 2018: The CCRI Lady Knights soccer tea traveled to American International College in Springfield, MA to face the Yellow Jackets JV team for a match on Sunday. The Lady Knights fell to AIC 7-0. With the loss CCRI falls to 1-1 on the season.

In a juxtaposition of their previous match vs Bunker Hill in this game the Lady Knights were the team that fell behind early and could not recover. The Yellow Jackets controlled this game with a 26 to three shot differential with the Lady Knights only getting one shot on net from Sophomore Tri-Captain Kat Raposo (Warwick, RI). Freshman Keeper Maddie Brassard (Pawtucket, RI) did play very well despite the score with an impressive 12 saves on the day. AIC just had too much fire power on this day and it showed. The Lady Knights have a young squad and will learn from this experience early in the season.

The next match for the Lady Knights will their home opener this Friday September 21st at 4:00pm when they will host the Mustangs of Central Maine Community College from Auburn, ME at the CCRI Soccer Complex in Lincoln, RI.
