Lenox Breaks CCRI 500m Record at BU Valentines Invite!

Warwick, R.I. – February 10, 2018: The CCRI indoor track team traveled to Boston University to compete in the Boston University David Hemery Valentines Invitational on Saturday the 10th.
CCRI set a school record and put forth two season-best efforts in their final indoor meet of the season.

Leading the way for the Community College of Rhode Island was sophomore Allison Lenox (North Kingstown, RI) who set new CCRI record in the 500m run with a 27th place finish in the time of 1 minute 20.12 seconds. Lenox broke the record of 1:20.53 set by Sherilyn Nicholas in 2005. Ryan Pagliaro (Smithfield, RI) ran a season-best in the Mile run placing 292nd in a time of 4:39.01. Alexander Mowry (Warwick, RI) ran a season-best time in the 200m placing 190th in the time of 24.76.

Also having a good meet was Victory Anderson (Manville, RI) placed 31st in the 60m hurdles in a time of 10.62. Saramarie Cerullo (Smithfield, RI) placed 166th in the 800m in a time of 3:05.60.

The Knights and Lady Knights will have some time off and start competing again outdoors on March 24th at the Bridgewater State "Bears" Invitational.
