Personal/Mental Health Services
CCRI has partnered with MySSP (My Student Support Service) to provide 24/7 mental health and well-being support to students, including real-time and scheduled access to professional counselors. All services are confidential and 100% FREE to CCRI students!
In addition to MySSP, the Advising and Counseling Center provides one-on-one and group counseling for a variety of problems ranging from typical difficulties students experience (e.g., adjustment to the college setting) to problems associated with acute or long-standing psychological disturbances.
Counseling services are oriented toward short-term interventions designed to help students develop personal understanding and to succeed in their roles as students. Our counselors provide services addressing a variety of problems and concerns which may include depression, anxieties and fears, self-esteem issues, interpersonal conflicts, career issues, eating disorders, stress management, family conflicts, physical/emotional/sexual abuse, and other distressing conditions. Confidential meetings available by calling 401-825-1240, emailing [email protected], or texting 401-308-3537 Monday through Friday 8am - 4pm. For afterhours emergencies, please call 911
In addition, a list of community resources is available if outside services are needed.
