A New CCRI Course:

English 2016, Tutoring Writing

English 2016, a new 3-credit course, will be offered on the Knight Campus in the Spring of 2010 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 2 to 2:50 p.m. The course content of Tutoring Writing includes:

• writing process theory
• training and practice in peer tutoring methods
• the research process and documentation systems
• observation and role-playing of tutoring sessions
• analysis of typical tutoring problems
• writing center history, theory, and practices
• field experience in the CCRI Writing Centers
