A message from President Di Pasquale
Nov. 25, 2013
As we near the end of the fall semester, the Thanksgiving holiday break is a perfect time to pause and reflect. Our students, faculty and staff have worked hard this semester, and the fruits of that hard work are about to be realized.
Thanksgiving is traditionally a time where we gather with our family and friends. It’s important to remember that the Community College of Rhode Island is part of your family as well. We study together, teach together, support each other in times of need, agree and disagree with one another. We depend on one another to achieve our shared mission and to do so with civility and collegiality.
We’re thankful for the good work that we do, helping our students to change their lives and achieve their dreams. In these difficult and uncertain economic times, we’re thankful that we have a college that has remained true to its mission and we have faculty and staff who are motivated and dedicated. We reach out to those among us who have lost loved ones in the past year and provide needed support and encouragement.
We have a lot to be thankful for, and it’s important to remember the good. I want to extend my personal thanks to all of you for all of the good work that you do. Be safe and enjoy the Thanksgiving break with your family and friends; relax and recharge and return with renewed energy.
