CHANGES TO RETIREE
MEDICAL SUBSIDIES
FOR ERS RETIREES
TO: State Employee Retirement System (ERS) Participants

The Office of Employee Benefits has created a FAQ document explaining
the legislated changes in retiree health insurance subsidies. This
document should answer most of your questions regarding the medical
subsidy cost for retiree health insurance. The changes to the retiree
medical subsidy go into effect for people who retire on or after October
1, 2008. The document is posted on their website,
www.employeebenefits.ri.gov and on the ERSRI retirement website at
www.ersri.org.
ERSRI is currently scheduling individual counseling sessions for August. They are also holding group sessions, where they will provide a benefits
overview and individual benefit estimates. Please call ERSRI at 222-2203
for more details.
PERFORMANCE EVALUATION DEADLINE
Performance Evaluations have been distributed to all supervisors
of Classified and Non-Classified employees. Evaluations are
due back in Human Resources by May 30, 2008.
A print or electronic version of the evaluation forms are available
on the HR 'Forms' page.
