A Proactive Leadership Approach to Building a Collaborative Workplace
Session 1: The Basic Principles for a Collaborative Workplace
8:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Collaboration positively impacts productivity, quality, customer expectations, and overall organizational performance. This session explores how The Basic Principles create a climate where everyone is able to cooperate, share ideas, and work together for a common purpose. The Basic Principles provide a set of behaviors for putting the institution's shared values into practice and developing a strong network of relationships at every level.
Session 2: Moving From Conflict to Collaboration
8:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Institutions are expecting employees at all levels to work together, often across functions, and to make decisions that were formerly the exclusive responsibility of management. This type of collaboration can bring out new potentials for conflict. This session gives participants the skills they need to turn conflicts into opportunities to achieve positive, productive results.
Session 3: Correcting Performance Problems
8:30 AM - 12:30 PM
The purpose of this session is to help participants address recurring or serious performance problems. Participants will complete a variety of individual and group activities, skills practices, video segments, and large group discussions that explore key activities and conversations for correcting performance problems.
