Important Financial Aid Information
PLEASE NOTE: CCRI’s priority financial application (FAFSA) date of May 1 has passed. All Financial Aid applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis after the student has submitted all of the paperwork necessary to complete his/her file. Financial Aid applicants are financially responsible for their bill and should enroll in the deferred payment plan. Doing so will protect students from having their courses dropped from their schedule due to non-payment. Once their file is completed and financial aid eligibility is determined, they will be reimbursed any overpayment to their account. Due to the large number of eligible students, it may not be possible to give the full consideration for all financial aid programs to those who file late applications. For example, the RI State Grant Program had a March 1, 2009 priority deadline. Any student who applied after March 1 will not be eligible to receive State Grant Funds.
Financial Aid applicants need to allow 10 – 14 days after their file is complete to check their MyCCRI account to see if they are eligible and if they have received an award. If no award is posted on Pipeline after this time period, the applicant should check MyCCRI by clicking on the “For Student” tab and on the “Financial Aid” tab to review their record for other information. In addition, the applicant will receive the same information via the mailing address that is posted on their MyCCRI account.
