RI Nursing Education Center FAQ
Q: Will food be available at the NEC?
A: Students have the option of purchasing food from an on-site food cart or dining at one of a number of fine restaurants and cafes in the area.
Q: With CCRI Nursing Program having classes at the Rhode Island Nursing Education Center in downtown Providence, does that mean that the Nursing program is leaving the Liston campus?
A: No. Semester Three and Four nursing courses only will be held at the NEC. Semesters One and Two will continue at the Liston campus. Warwick, Flanagan and Newport will continue on their respective campus.
Q: Is transportation to the Center provided?
A: Yes. Transportation is provided at no cost to students. The University of Rhode Island and Rhode Island College shuttle will make a stop at CCRI Liston Campus to pick up students at 8am. Shuttle will pick up at the NEC at 2:20 pm.
Students can take the RIPTA bus, or utilize paid parking options in downtown Providence. Discounted RIPTA passes are available to CCRI students. See CCRI discounted bus pass policy

Q: Do I need a student ID card?
A: Yes, the Rhode Island Nursing Education Center will issue all of its students an ID card. The ID is necessary to enter classrooms. You will receive your ID card on the first day of class.
Q: Will labs be held at the NEC?
A: No, only lecture will be at the NEC. All labs will be held at the Flanagan Campus (SIM) or Liston Campus as scheduled.
