Vision Initiative Committee (2001)

Vision Statement

The Vision Initiative Committee drafted the following Vision Statement following campus-wide surveys and discussions conducted in Spring 2001.

Working together, everyone achieves:  this is CCRI's foundation for success.

We devote ourselves to empowering students because learning is our highest priority.  Whatever it takes, we help our students move from where they are to where they want to be.  This is our fundamental purpose.

Every action we take and decision we make reflects the unifying vision of a thriving and versatile, student-and community-centered institution.  Our policies and procedures support an organizational culture based on high standards, mutual respect, collaboration, and a fascination with teaching and learning. 

CCRI is a cutting-edge institution, a leading partner in advancing the cultural, economic, and civic life of the Rhode Island community.  Our graduates positively contribute to a competitive workforce in a complex global economy, thereby elevating the quality of life.

We serve our diverse community well by saluting individuality, fostering creativity, encouraging flexibility and celebrating success.  We pride ourselves on being a symbol of hope and opportunity, the bridge to a life-long journey that students begin from their own unique place.
