Draft Statement Survey
The committee has drafted Mission, Vision and Core Value statements based on the data collected from the college community (Vision Initiative, 2001; On-line Key Word Survey, February 2005, public Discussion Forums, March 2005 and Draft Statement Survey, Summer 2005).
The Statements presented below will be presented to the college community on Opening Day (Thursday 9/1/05) for review and editing. Statements will be revised based on the feedback received and submitted to President's Council late in September.

Our Mission
Statement #1
CCRI’s mission is to provide accessible, affordable post-secondary
educational opportunities to assist individuals to become successful
students, citizens, and contributing members of the state’s workforce.
OR
Statement #2
The mission of CCRI is to serve the educational needs of individuals by
providing an accessible and affordable post-secondary opportunity that
stresses student success, promotes continuing education, develops
informed citizens, cultivates community service, embraces cultural
diversity, contributes to economic development and encourages the
pursuit of excellence.
Our Vision
CCRI will accomplish its mission when it is an institution:
- that is vibrant, and puts learning, service and achievement at its core; one that encourages an appetite for knowledge and intellectual curiosity.
- that explores new and varied ways of building knowledge and skills to transform lives creating positive change and opportunity in the broader community.
