July 26, 2005 - Notes

Members in attendance: Ruth Barrington, Lee Chartier, Joanne Galliano, Kathy Mallon, Robert Melucci, Dennis Moore, Michelle O'Brien, JoAnn Warren

Special Guests:  Deans Phil Sisson and Ruth Sullivan

Focus of Meeting:  Opening Day Activities. 

The major concern focused on agenda, the logistics and meeting the needs of the Administration.  Deans Sisson and Sullivan provided an overview of what the administration needed for time.  The Committee was given 1.5 hours to carry out its presentation. 

The Committee hammered out a process and a power point presentation will be developed to facilitate the process.

It was decided that Statements, Criteria for Evaluating the Statements and a list of references used should be available to the college community prior to our presentation.  A data collection instrument still needs to be developed.

A video providing an historical perspective of CCRI as well as the community college movement will be used.  Lee Chartier and Norm Grant have been videotaping college employees.
