May 16, 2005 - Notes

Members in attendance:

Ruth Barrington, Lee Chartier, Kathy Mallon, Dennis Moore, Michelle O'Brien, Carol Panaccione and JoAnn Warren

The focus of this meeting was on preparing for the dissemination of draft statements for Department Chairs (Meeting on 5/17/05).

A summary report was prepared and reviewed by the committee. Minor modifications were made and it was determined that the report will not include draft statements. It was decided that draft statements should be presented via PowerPoint or overhead transparencies.

Kathy Mallon suggested we present the statements in the following order:

Vision statement created by Vision Initiative Committee (2001)
Draft Statements created by committee (April 2005)
Draft Statements revised by committee (May 2005)

Specific anticipated questions were discussed and responses prepared. The focus of the presentation/discussion should be about the process (emphasizing inclusion) and the statements (draft). JoAnn was asked to make the presentation.
