Mission of the Community College of Rhode Island
The Community College of Rhode Island is the state's only public comprehensive associate degree-granting institution providing Rhode Islanders affordable and open access to higher education. Our primary mission is to offer the knowledge and skills necessary to motivate and guide a diverse community of learners in their pursuit of intellectual growth. Responding to our students’ varied educational needs and building on a tradition of teaching excellence and student support, CCRI offers an array of academic, career, and lifelong learning programs throughout the state. The Community College of Rhode Island expects academic excellence, champions diversity, fosters service learning, responds to community needs, contributes to our state's economic development, and builds our region's workforce.
