Members in attendance: Ruth Barrington, Joanne Galliano, Dennis Moore, Carol Panaccione, Michelle O’Brien, Lee Chartier, Kathy Mallon, and JoAnn Warren.
Absent: Philomena Fayanjuola, William Green, Tracy Martin, Lou Pullano, Wayne Solomon Deana Waite, Robert Melucci, Nick Kamboures and Bill Johnson,
JoAnn Warren arranged a distance learning meeting between the Flanagan, Warwick and Providence campuses. Unfortunately there were technical difficulties and unable to link to the Providence Campus.
A general discussion related to participation at the public forums. Small intimate discussions revealed great insight. Rather than focus on reaching out any further at this stage, the committee members present decided to start drafting statements. It was felt that we had enough "input" from the work of the 2001 Vision Initiative, on-line survey and the quality of the input received at the forums.
Next steps were discussed. It was decided that we should break up into smaller groups to begin the drafting of statements. The following members agreed to work together. Members not present will be asked to volunteer as well.

- Mission: Joanne G (Joanne will contact Lou and Bill as they indicated this preference earlier)
- Values: Dennis, Michelle and Lee
- JoAnn W volunteered to maintain the website.
The following strategy for next steps was adopted.
- Sub-teams meet between 4/1 and 4/15. Objective: develop 3 statements. Share with Committee at next meeting on 4/19.
- Present 3 drafts of Vision and Mission Statements, and a list of
Core Values to the College Community to elicit further input and/or
rankings (Lee volunteered to establish a methodology) via:
- targeted meetings (staff, department chairs, academic departments, students, alumni, The Foundation, Businesses, COI List, Legislators and Board Members)
- website
- posters
- Mission Committee to debrief, revise and draft final statements Report to Council (process overview and elicit input) (May 18).
