February 18, 2005 - Notes
Members in attendance: Danielle Arraiz, Ruth Barrington, Nick Kamboures, Joanne Galliano, Bill Johnson, Dennis Moore, Carol Panaccione, Lou Pullano and JoAnn Warren.
Absent: Lee Chartier, Philomena Fayanjuola, William Green, Kathy Mallon, Tracy Martin, Michelle O’Brien, Wayne Solomon and Deana Waite.
JoAnn Warren opened the meeting and reviewed the agenda. She then distributed a handout, Primer on Mission Statement. Also a handout on peer college mission, vision and values statements.
Following JoAnn’s presentation, general discussion ensued on the attributes of the college. Some of the words used to describe the college:

- Community
- Pioneering
- Responsive
- Diverse
- Valued Resource
- Access to all
Dennis distributed copies of the college-wide on-line survey and reviewed the responses.
More than 120 completed surveys were received, with the vast majority of them coming from faculty and staff.
JoAnn reviewed the timetable to complete the work of the committee and suggested we create sub-committees. The following members volunteered:

Members of the committee also volunteered to be campus coordinators for the open forums to be held on the three campuses between mid-March and the end of March.

Committee also suggested that survey be sent to legislators. Dennis to investigate whether legislators are available via e-mail.
