Students, faculty invited to hear what hiring managers expect from liberal arts graduates at Nov. 4 panel

Friday, Oct. 28

To help understand the needs of our state’s employers and link critical workplace attitudes and skills with the content of our liberal arts education, CCRI will host a workshop and luncheon, “From Liberal Arts Education to Successful Careers,” on Friday, Nov. 4, in Room 1128 at the Knight Campus in Warwick.

From 11 a.m. to noon, a panel session will include executives and hiring managers from companies such as Textron and Lifespan answering questions such as:

  • What does “prepared for the workforce” really mean?
  • What writing examples and social skills do graduates need?
  • What technology experience do employers expect?

From noon to 2 p.m., students and faculty are invited to have one-on-one conversations in small groups with the executives and hiring managers over lunch.
