CCRI offers Food Manager’s Certification course

The Community College of Rhode Island’s Center for Workforce and Community Education is offering the Food Manager’s Certification Program, where participants can earn the nationally recognized food safety certification from the National Restaurant Association.

In this state-approved 18-hour course, participants will learn about food safety practices, proper food handling techniques and highlights of the R.I. Food Code. Topics also include waste management, accident prevention and food safety systems.

Two sections of the course will be offered this fall in Warwick. Both run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 14 and 15 and Dec. 12 and 13.
