President Di Pasquale's Five Favorite Books

Here's what the President says about his seven favorite reads:
The four important management books to the right (Good to Great; Leading with the Heart; Now, Discover Your Strengths; and The Tipping Point) are all focused on transforming institutions through the strength of individuals, their contributions to the organization and their clear commitment to excellence. These concepts resonate with me because they support my own long-held belief in the ability to effect meaningful change through positive action and constructive communication.

Don't Get Too Comfortable

Don't Get Too Comfortable is a very funny book. Journalist David Rackoff skewers the pompous and pretentious in this collection of humorous essays, reminding us all not to take things – or ourselves – too seriously.

Sounding the Waters by CCRI's Jim Glickman

Jim Glickman's Sounding the Waters is a real page-turner!  Not only is this a highly acclaimed and engrossing political novel, but Sounding the Waters demonstrates the great talent that we have right here in our own community!

Missing Mom

Several years ago I had the distinct pleasure of hearing Ms. Oates discuss Missing Mom at a special appearance at SUNY Brockport.  The author, in her characteristic style, describes the loss of a parent in a poignant and achingly vivid way, and offers the reader a sweet reminiscence of days gone by.  These entrancing images stay with me still.
