Honors student Madeline Capasso was involved in an Honors Project featuring Italian classes for
children in grades 4-7 which was held at the Salvatore Mancini Union Free Library for two weeks.
The experience was rewarding for the children and their families as well as CCRI Professor of Foreign
Languages Maria Mansella, who taught the classes with Ms. Capasso.
Books were provided by CASIT (Centro Attivita Scholastiche Italiane), a center of the Italian Consulate
in Boston that promotes cultural programs in Italian. Members of CCRI's Italian Club and the library staff
assisted in supporting the project.
