All computers in the academic computing labs are protected from viruses with the latest virus protection software.
If a student has a virus on his/her USB device, the virus protection software will either clean it or quarantine the file (if it cannot disinfect it). A dialog box will appear indicating that a virus has been detected and what action has been taken.
If a student downloads a virus onto the computer, the virus protection software will either clean or quarantine the file (disinfect it). Once again, a dialog box will appear indicating that a virus has been detected and the action that has been taken.
If you have a problem with viruses in the lab or have an infected USB device, please check with the staff person on duty.
