Every student will have a newly created mailbox. Your e-mail address will now be username@my.ccri.edu. The student suffix, (@my.ccri.edu) to your email account is new. This change only affect students, NOT FACULTY and STAFF. All CCRI faculty and staff e-mail addresses will remain as is. To gain access to your new mailbox you will need to log into your MyCCRI account. CCRI selected Microsoft Live@edu because it integrates seamlessly with our new Student Active Directory (AD) infrastructure. After widespread evaluations and research against our needs and criteria we selected Microsoft Live@edu as a result of the similarities with the present Exchange email system and other critical factors for instance integration with other systems currently in place and the collaborative tools that only Microsoft provides our current network environment, unlike other email offerings such as Google (gmail). Microsoft Outlook Live@edu makes available several features, such as single sign on (SSO) and password synchronization. An example of SSO is when you login to the MyCCRI portal and get to your email without logging on again.
