Epson Document Camera

Information Screenshots
What is it?
The Epson Document Camera works much like a traditional overhead projector. Instead of shining a powerful light through transparencies, a camera is used to create video of objects you place on the viewing area that are then projected using an LCD projector. The benefit of this is that it allows you to show your students notes and printouts that are on regular sheets of paper. The document camera can also be used to show models and other 3D objects.

Basic Usage
  • Step 1
Turn the document camera on using the power switch located in the upper right corner of the unit.
  • Step 2
Place the document or object you would like to be displayed on the surface of the document camera, underneath the camera.
  • Step 3
Using the zoom feature will allow you to focus attention on particular areas of a document or allow your students to see visuals in great detail. Tele will zoom in on the document, while Wide will zoom the camera out.
  • Step 4
If the document or object appears out of focus, you may tell the camera to auto-adjust by pressing the auto-focus button on the front of the unit.
  • Step 5
To help show transparencies, slides and other types of objects, you can use the Lamp button to choose between using the overhead lights, the backlight located in the base of the unit, or not to use any light at all.
* Please contact the Help Desk at x1112 if you encounter any problems while using the unit.
