Earth Day 2010
Join CCRI's Green Team on Friday, April 23rd for a Cleanup and Beautification Project at the Flanagan Campus, Lincoln.
We are looking for approximately 20 volunteers (student, faculty and/or staff) to join us in a general cleanup of the Lincoln campus grounds from 11am to 2pm. The Green Team along with CCRI's Facility Maintenance Department will also be developing a garden bed approximately 8 ft x 10 ft near the main entrance to the campus.
Each volunteer will receive a voucher for a free lunch, provided by CCRI’s Green Team, and two packets of seeds provided by URI’s Master Gardner Program (a donation received from Ocean State Job Lot). We hope that our volunteers will plant the seeds in their own gardens, as an additional way to celebrate Earth Day. Seed packets will include a variety of vegetables, herbs, and flowers.
