CCRI Green Team

Learn about recycling in Rhode Island

CCRI students, faculty and staff are invited to tour the Central Landfill in Johnston, which is operated by the Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation, and learn about the process of recycling at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010 or Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010. Transportation to and from the facility will be provided at no cost. More information about the length of the tour and the transportation schedule will be made available to participants in advance of the trip. To sign up, contact Mary Baker at mkbaker1@ccri.edu.

About Us

The CCRI Green Team was established to start the discussion of green initiatives across all campuses and will be looking for volunteers to join in this effort to “green” our classrooms and workspaces. Current focus will be on those initiatives that require no up-front funding but can impact the college in a positive manner.
