- “Project Have Hope works with a group of 100 women in the Acholi Quarter of Uganda and helps them transform their lives and the lives of their families. - Students from the French and German clubs collected donations for Heifer International (www.heifer.org), a nonprofit that is known for ending hunger and poverty in a sustainable way by giving impoverished families and villages animals like cows and sheep that will provide food, drink, clothing and income. The organization teaches recipients how to care for the gift animals and recipients agree to share the offspring of gift animals with others in need.

- Students striving to collect 5,000 pounds of food Students from the French and German clubs have collected more than 3,500 pounds of canned goods and nonperishable food items for the Rhode Island Community Food Bank so far this academic year. Club members far surpassed their goal of collecting 500 pounds of food last semester and are striving to collect 5,000 by May 1. If you would like to help, donations can be dropped off in the designated boxes in the bookstore at the Warwick Campus, as well as in the Rhode Island Community Food bins located at the second floor entrance across from the elevators.
