Purpose: To award a scholarship to a student enrolled in the Nursing Program successful completion of Level I and Level II and who has maintained a 3.0 G.P.A. in his/her studies of nursing care.

Application Deadline: April 1
Processing Procedures: Dean of Health & Rehabilitative Sciences, Dr. Maureen E. McGarry appoints Scholarship Committee Chair, who subsequently appoints scholarship review committee.
Scholarship Committee Chair completes Scholarship Sign-Off form and forwards it and all applications to the Office of Institutional Advancement.
Upon receipt of all materials, CCRI Foundation checks are made payable to the selected recipient. Office of Institutional Advancement sends check and congratulatory letter to the selected recipient via certified mail with a copy to the Scholarship Committee Chair and the Dean of Nursing, Allied & dental Health Programs. Copies of the letter plus a copy of the application form are sent to:

Revenue History: Account was endowed in 1984 by Nancy Shuster, former member of the CCRI English Faculty and former CCRI Foundation Trustee, to pay tribute to the fine nursing care her father received during his illness.
Important Note: Scholarship recipient is required to write a thank you note (memo and sample thank you note) to the scholarship donor, and provide a brief biography (printable bio form) about themselves and their education/career goals and return both to: Geraldine Peixoto, CCRI Foundation, Flanagan Campus, 1762 Louisquisset Pike, Lincoln, RI 02865.
