Purpose: To provide financial assistance to students who have graduated from high school within the past three years of applying for the scholarship. Applicants must have a 3.0 G.P.A. (or B average) to qualify for the scholarship and may renew the scholarship for a second year if they maintain a 3.0 G.P.A. and provide an official CCRI transcript. (Exception is given to a student who received a 2.5 G.P.A. in one semester without forfeiting the scholarship, but must bring their G.P.A. back to 3.0 or have a B average in the subsequent semester.) It is desirable that the applicant who is a direct descendent of Anna (Munson) Champlin have first preference for this scholarship; however, failing that in a given year, then preference is given to a student from the general public who meets the academic requirement.
