Purpose: To provide financial assistance to an incoming student of Armenian Heritage. The student must have financial need.

Application Deadline: September 15
Processing Procedure: The scholarship chair appoints scholarship review committee. The Scholarship Chair completes Scholarship Sign-Off form and forwards it and all applications to the Office of Institutional Advancement.
Upon receipt of all materials, CCRI Foundation check is made jointly payable to the selected recipient and CCRI. Office of Institutional Advancement sends check and congratulatory letter to the selected recipient via certified mail with a copy to the Scholarship Chair. Copies of the letter plus a copy of the application form are sent to:

Revenue History: The account was endowed in May of 2005 in memory of Valerie Norbury an employee of CCRI who passed away. Valerie was a vibrant individual who enjoyed every aspect of life. She was devoted to her family, Valerie cherished her Armenian Heritage and was a firm believer in helping others. In her quest to "pay it forward" (an expression she often used) this scholarship has been established in her memory.
Important Note: Scholarship recipient is required to write a thank you note (memo and sample thank you note) to the scholarship donor, and provide a brief biography (printable bio form) about themselves and their education/career goals and return both to: Geraldine Peixoto, CCRI Foundation, Flanagan Campus, 1762 Louisquisset Pike, Lincoln, RI 02865.
