Purpose: To recognize a graduating student in his/her sophomore year who has 60
credits towards graduation. The recipient will have taken 4 courses from 3
Social Sciences disciplines with a Social Sciences G.P.A. of 3.5 and an
overall G.P.A of 3.0 in all other college courses. Preference will be given
to a student who exhibits qualities of good citizenship and academic
excellence.

Application Deadline: April 1
Processing Procedure: Social Sciences Department Chair appoints scholarship review committee. The Social Sciences Department Chair completes Scholarship Sign-Off form and forwards it and all applications to the Office of Institutional Advancement. At the same time, the Social Sciences Department Chair contacts Jean Lovett in the Office of Student Affairs for the Class Night Program Brochure.
Upon receipt of all materials, CCRI Foundation check is made payable to the selected recipient. Office of Institutional Advancement sends check and congratulatory letter to the selected recipient via certified mail with a copy to the Social Sciences Department Chair. Copies of the letter plus copies of the application form are sent to:

Revenue History: Account was endowed in 1983 by the Social Sciences Department. Anniversary date: Curt Bessette - April 10, 1981. Interest is allocated to the endowed account on a semi-annual basis.
