Purpose: This scholarship may be awarded to defray the cost of any combination of tuition, fees, books and/or academic supplies or equipment. To be eligible for this scholarship a student must: have completed at least 30 credit hours at CCRI towards completion of an Associates Degree program, carry a cumulative G.P.A. of no less than 3.2, intend to use this scholarship at CCRI in further pursuit of that program, and intend to carry a minimum course load of 6 credit hours during the semester for which this scholarship is granted. If a student’s credit hours to complete that program are less than 6, and the student meets all other criteria, then the student can be deemed an “Eligible Applicant”.  (This scholarship shall not be awarded to any “Eligible Applicant” in an amount exceeding her/his need.* )

Important Note: Scholarship recipient is required to write a thank you note (memo and sample thank you note) to the scholarship donor, and provide a brief biography (printable bio form) about themselves and their education/career goals and return both to: Geraldine Peixoto, CCRI Foundation, Flanagan Campus, 1762 Louisquisset Pike, Lincoln, RI  02865. *If the funds available to be distributed under the Scholarship at any time shall be insufficient to meet the needs of all “Eligible Applicants”, then certain rules govern the allocation of those funds among Eligible Applicants.  Please contact the Office of Institutional Advancement with any questions regarding those rules.
