Purpose:  To provide assistance in buying books to students entering their second year in the Dental Hygiene Program. Preference will be given to students based upon academic performance as well as financial need.

Application Deadline:

Processing Procedures:  Director of Dental Hygiene chairs Scholarship Review Committee minimally consisting of Dr. Herbert J. Underhill or his designee and Kathleen Gazzola (Faculty member - Dental Hygiene Department)


The Director of Dental Hygiene completes Scholarship Sign-Off form and forwards it and all applications to the Office of Institutional Advancement.

Upon receipt of all materials, CCRI Foundation check is made jointly payable to the selected recipient and the CCRI Bookstore.  Office of Institutional Advancement sends check and congratulatory letter to the selected recipient via certified mail with a copy to the Director of Dental Hygiene.  Copies of the letter plus a copy of the application form are sent to:

Revenue History:  Account was endowed in 1992 by Dr. Underhill, Trustee of the CCRI Foundation who has agreed to contribute annually to this fund.
