Purpose: To award a Business Administration Department graduating student with a G.P.A. of 3.0 or better who is transferring to a 4-year college/university. First preference is given to a student who is transferring to Bryant University. Students must supply a letter of acceptance from the 4-year institution.

Processing Procedure: The Scholarship Chair appoints scholarship review committee.
The Scholarship Chair completes scholarship sign-off form forwards it and all applications to the Office of Institutional Advancement. At the same, the Business Department contacts Jean Lovett in the Office of Student Affairs for the class night program brochure.
Upon receipt of all materials, CCRI Foundation check is made jointly payable to the selected recipient and Bryant University or the 4-year college/university. Office of Institutional Advancement sends check and congratulatory letter to the selected recipient via certified mail with copies of the letter sent to:

Revenue History: Account was endowed in 2002 in honor of Professor Solomon A. Solomon upon his retirement from the College in June of 2002. Professor Solomon established the Retail Management Program, chaired the Business Department and also served as Director of Admissions.
Important Note: Scholarship recipient is required to write a thank you note (memo and sample thank you note) to the scholarship donor, and provide a brief biography (printable bio form) about themselves and their education/career goals and return both to: Geraldine Peixoto, CCRI Foundation, Flanagan Campus, 1762 Louisquisset Pike, Lincoln, RI 02865.
