Purpose: To provide financial aid to incoming students, or students
who have completed their first year and are continuing their studies. Preference
will be given to students who are taking accounting courses as part of their
curriculum. Students must submit letters of recommendation from two faculty
members and proof of enrollment / transcript.

Application Deadline: April 1
Processing Procedure: The Chair appoints a scholarship review committee.
The Business Administration Department Chair completes Scholarship Sign-Off form and forwards it and all applications to the Office of Institutional Advancement.
Upon receipt of all materials, CCRI Foundation check is made payable to the selected recipient six weeks after the fall semester begins. Office of Institutional Advancement sends check and congratulatory letter to the selected recipient via certified mail with a copy to the Scholarship Chair. Copies of the award letter are sent to:

Revenue History: The account was endowed in January 2001 with a gift received from the Society of Governmental Accountants and Auditors with proceeds the organization has raised at tax seminars. The first award was given out in Fall 2001.
