Purpose:  To recognize a continuing student in the Business Administration Department who has the most overall potential for success.  G.P.A., student participation, and academic performance will be considered.

Application Deadline:  April 1

Processing Procedure:   Business Administration Department Chair appoints scholarship review committee.

The Business Administration Department Chair completes Scholarship Sign-Off form and forwards it and all applications to the Office of Institutional Advancement. 

Upon receipt of all materials, CCRI Foundation check is made payable to the selected recipient. Office of Institutional Advancement sends check and congratulatory letter to the selected recipient via certified mail with a copy to the Business Administration Department Chair.  Copies of the letter plus a copy of the application form are sent to:

Revenue History:  The endowed account was established in 1973 by the Business Administration Department (formerly Retail Management Department) to acknowledge Mr. Pohle, a dedicated employee of CCRI’s Bookstore at the Warwick Campus,  who was  a role model for students.  The award is given to a student who  has  the potential for succeeding in Business Administration (formerly Retail Management) and who does more than what is expected of him/her.

Important Note:  Scholarship recipient is required to write a thank you note (memo and sample thank you note) to the scholarship donor, and provide a brief biography (printable bio form) about themselves and their education/career goals and return both to:  Geraldine Peixoto, CCRI Foundation, Flanagan Campus, 1762 Louisquisset Pike, Lincoln, RI  02865. Please contact the CCRI Foundation if you need assistance in completing this responsibility at 333-7150 or e-mail at foundation@ccri.edu.
